Our Story
Family Run & Grown
Founded in 1986 as Canoyer Country Greenhouse, Craig and Kathy Canoyer started their journey on their Iowa family farm with just a small 200-square-foot greenhouse in Pottawattamie County, Iowa, where they raised grain and cattle. What began as a simple hobby and a shared passion for flowers soon grew into a thriving, multi-location, family-run business known today as Canoyer Garden Center.
Even though they were located nine miles from the nearest town, neighbors and community members began stopping by to purchase the Canoyers’ extra flowers. Before long, Craig and Kathy unexpectedly found themselves in the plant business.
As their customer base grew, the Canoyers expanded their operation—beginning with a Griswold, IA greenhouse and later adding a second Papillion, NE location in 2006, operated by their son Brad and his family.
The Papillion location on 66th street has grown to be a staple in the local community for gardening needs and expertise advice with annuals, perennials, and shrubs.
In 2023, Brad and Geri Canoyer brought their vision to life with the opening of the Lincoln location on Long Pine Road (94th and Van Dorn). Through dedication and a thoughtful search for the perfect setting, they created a welcoming destination for all things green and growing.
